Sensei John Crose has been practicing Karate for 38 years. As a former member of the US National Karate Team, Sensei Crose has won numerous medals in many national and international Karate tournaments.
Sensei Crose has trained several students who have won gold medals at AAU and USA National Karate Tournaments, including a student who won gold at the Junior World Championships in South Africa.
Sensei Crose is the owner and Chief Instructor of the Livermore School of Karate. This new karate school is dedicated to introducing karate practitioners to the sport of karate and teaching them how to use sport karate to learn self-discipline, self-control, and self-respect. Youth and Adult martial arts classes will be offered monthly.
All classes are held at the Robert Livermore Community Center, located at 4444 East Ave.

Adult Class (16 and up) The adult karate class teaches the basic fundamentals of traditional karate. These skills improve physical fitness, flexibility and overall coordination. Students will build on their newly learned skills as they work towards a black belt. They will also have the opportunity to have fun and make friends participating in an enjoyable and fast paced sport.
Youth Karate classes (ages 9-15) The youth Karate class teaches students the basic kicks, blocks, punches and footwork of traditional karate. These are the basic fundamentals that allow students to participate and compete in competition Karate, and eventually work towards a black belt. This kind of training is presented in a way that is both enjoyable and beneficial to young practitioners.

The sessions are currently held once a week on Thursdays. They start the first Thursday of every month.
If you have a Gi please feel free to wear it to the class. If you do not currently have a Gi please attend class in comfortable workout clothes. Eventually all students must have a Gi.
